Mike Mignola is coming back to Hellboy with two new series from Dark Horse Comics. Slated for release later this year the legendary creator will pen the all new series with artists Cyrille Pomès and Márk László providing the art.
In a surprising development after Open AI and Disney cancelled their high profile $1 billion partnership, the house that Mikey built has teamed up with TikTok. Working with content creators the studio is introducing fan-created TikTok content to its Disney Plus app in its latest attempt to break into short-form creator videos.

Movie casting announcements continue to dominate the superhero landscape this time with Samara Weaving being cast as Emma Frost in the MCU's upcoming X-Men slate of films.
The news isn't all positive however as Marvel's Wonder Man and DC's Booster Gold have been shelved. San Diego Comic Con is in the rearview mirror but the news from the pop culture event continues to reverberate throughout the world of entertainment. The MCU is two stars larger with the announcement that Ryan Gosling and David Jonsson have been cast as Ghost Rider and Black Panther. Not all of the action at SDCC took place n Hall H. Transformers turns 40 and to commemorate the occasion Hasbro is releasing the movie with new footage. Spawn creator Todd McFarlane dishes on the still in development Spawn live action flick and reveals some in tel on a previously unknown Spawn cartoon.

San Diego Comic Con 2026 kicks off later today and industry news is already rocking the world of comics and entertainment. Rob Liefeld will announce at SDCC that he'll be drawing NSFW covers to launch his Avengelyne comic and movie.
The trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has broken the internet and we take a deep dive into the trailer and what to expect when the film hits theatres this December. PIXAR is the latest casualty of the Disney layoffs with several hundred staffers being let go. Toy Story's success at the Box Office couldn't save jobs and cuts across the company extend beyond PIXAR to Marvel and even ESPN.

San Diego Comic Con 2026 is a few days away and this week will be filled with loads of sneak peaks and reveals in comics, movies and collectibles. Some interesting news dropped ahead of SDCC when Marvel teased the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday during a panel at Shanghai Expo in China. They dropped a concept poster featuring characters in the film including the first look at Dr. Doom's mask.
DC, Marvel, Image and every publisher in comics will be dropping huge news all week. Actor Sam Neil has passed and Steve and Vaughn will take a retrospective look at the actor's career. The DCU is going through some growing pains. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has underperformed at the box office and now there are reports leaking some of the behind the scenes drama that resulted in the studio and the director, Craig Gillespie coming up with two competing cuts of the film. We take a closer look at what went on leading up to Supergirl's solo feature as well as comment on the just released photo of Brainiac for the upcoming Superman: Man of Tomorrow.
Indie comics has taken the old adage, "There's strength in numbers" to heart with two different team ups designed to increase the reach of smaller comic book creators and retailers. The Ink Alliance is a collective of Black owner retailers who have united with a Sanford Greene Static Shock/Teen Titans exclusive cover that's only available at their locations. The Indie Alliance is a collective of independent comic book publishers focused on offering original comics in local retailer stores and strengthening indie comics within the industry.
